Femke Truijens wins the biennial Wim Trijsburg Prize of the NVP-Netherlands Association for Psychotherapy.

Femke Truijens, co-founder of the KOG and PI of the Meaningful Measurement (MEANS) Lab, has been named the winner of the
Wim Trijsburg Prize
. This prestigious prize is awarded once every two years to a researcher of exceptional merit to the psychotherapy field by the Dutch Association for Psychotherapy (NVP)

Femke won this award for her research, in which she advocates putting curiosity at the heart of the stories behind the numbers. She calls for having conversations and examining what we consider “true” and “normal. To engage in the thinking exercise even when it feels uncomfortable; or right!

Femke was nominated several times. The jury evaluated the shortlisted candidates on four criteria:

  • Broad/generalist view of psychotherapy
  • Connection/integration between directions and schools
  • Quality/level of candidate
  • Quality/level of research
