Founder Carlijn Welten researched what it would take to better connect mental health care to the experiences, strengths and needs of children and families. Based on her research, she and Niek Hayen designed &#8220;The House,&#8221; a youth mental health organization that does things completely differently. For example, they work with families from a recovery vision, peer support has an important place and they keep the DSM out.
